Overview
The Academic Support Advisor plays a pivotal role in providing a full range of academic support and development services to ensure students are empowered to realize their academic success. This position is responsible for helping students succeed academically by offering guidance on study planning, study and coping strategies and interventions, and academic resources. The role will also connect students’ academic interests with their personal and career ambitions. The Academic Support Advisor is also tasked with monitoring student progress, intervention, and retention of at-risk students.
Requirements
- A minimum of an Honours Degree qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Coaching, Business Management, Leadership; or at least 5-years’ experience in a cognate field with high academic results
- Advanced computer literacy skills, including online systems
- 2 years of full-time experience, preferably within the field of Higher Education
