Code 10 Driver Saleswoman (Pool)
Overview
RCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized and customer focused Code 10 Driver Saleswoman within the baking business unit for our pool drivers. The suitable candidate will be responsible to performs tasks / activities associated with the transportation and sales of bread and confectionary. Calling on customers (traders and retail chain stores), taking orders and delivering mainly from vehicle -frequently for cash and new customer acquisition.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- valid Driver’s License
- valid PDP
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English
- Good numeracy
- Min 2 years driving experience working in FMCG driving trucks
- Experience in delivering and selling FMCG product for cash to existing and new customers
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean vehicle to ensure high levels of hygiene standards
- Wear and make use of the prescribed PPE clothing and equipment
- Ensure driving compartment is clean and safe according to requirements for a work station
- Check vehicle according to the checklist specified by the company
- Report any theft of vehicle, fuel or equipment or damage to vehicle to Logistics Manager
- Check that actual stock loaded matches the orders placed
- Ensure van assistant is presentable and deals with customers appropriately
- Always be friendly, helpful and respectful towards customers
- Ensure that the stock delivered to customer is according to the customer’s order
