Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant preferred
- Degree in Accounting
- 1-3 years relevant experience in the Financial Services industry
- Knowledge of IFRS, Tax and VAT preferred
- Exposure to Corporate, Retail, and/or Customer interfacing environment preferred
- Solid Advanced Excel skills
- Exposure to accounting packages (SAP, Pastel etc.) preferred
- Exposure to SAP and Microsoft applications preferred
Responsibilities
- Reconcile third party payment transactions accurately and timely
- Manage daily payment processing activities using ERP systems
- Collaborate with internal departments and third party vendors to resolve payment discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing detailed payment reports
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation
- Monitor and enforce payment control procedures
- Analyse payment data to identify process inefficiencies
- Participate in cross-functional projects to optimise payment workflows
- Provide support and training to junior staff members
