Functional Analyst III - Finance Systems
Overview
As a Functional Analyst III – Finance Systems, you will play a critical role in shaping and enabling Shoprite's finance technology landscape. You will drive the analysis, design, configuration, delivery, and optimisation of finance systems solutions across the ERP ecosystem, partnering closely with finance stakeholders, product teams, architects, developers, and technology leaders.
Requirements
- Relevant 3-year qualification in Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Business Analysis, Functional Analysis, or similar professional certification.
- SAP Finance Configuration certification or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years' experience in a Senior Functional Analyst, ERP Functional Consultant, or similar role.
- Proven experience analysing, configuring, and supporting finance systems and ERP solutions.
- Experience defining and executing user acceptance testing and software testing processes.
- Experience working within complex enterprise environments and large-scale technology projects.
- Exposure to retail, financial services, or similarly complex industries.
- Experience managing vendors and external delivery partners.
- Working knowledge of project delivery and software development lifecycle methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis of complex business and finance requirements across ERP and finance technology platforms.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and solution designs.
- Conduct gap analyses and assess the impact of proposed changes on finance processes and systems.
- Recommend innovative and practical solutions that align with business objectives and governance requirements.
- Drive solution configuration and customisation to meet business requirements.
- Lead and coordinate development and configuration activities across delivery teams.
- Support solution implementation, training, and post-go-live support.
- Define testing strategies, requirements, and test scenarios for complex finance solutions.
- Lead complex system integration initiatives across finance and enterprise platforms.
- Plan, prioritise, and coordinate work across multiple projects and initiatives.
- Serve as a technical lead within the Functional Analyst team.
- Mentor and support Functional Analysts, helping build capability and technical expertise.
