Overview
Support the development, implementation, and alignment of digital government strategies, implementation plans, and policies. Conduct technology research, and promote and showcase innovation in emerging technologies to inform and enhance policy development.
Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B -Degree
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience on a middle management level
- Competencies: Knowledge of and working experience with the legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practic es that have a bearing on the line functions
- Knowledge and understanding of information systems that aid in the management of knowledge and information pertaining to the line function
- Knowledge and understanding of project management
- Knowledge of operat ional management practices
- Mentoring and coaching practices
- National and provincial instruments and legislation pertaining to human resources management, financial management and supply chain management
- Policies of the government of the day (national and provincial)
- Provincial government functions and services
- Statutory framework governing the broad management of the public service

Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and alignment of digital government strategies, implementation plans, and policies
- Conduct technology research, and promote and showcase innovation in emerging technologies to inform and enhance policy development
- Manage the delivery of digital government initiatives, ensuring completion in accordance with best practices and WCG project management methodologies
- Foster collaboration by building and maintaining strong partnerships with national and local government structures, WCG departments, external agencies, Academia, and residents to support co - creation and digital government initiatives
- Coordinate and lead feedback campaigns to collate resident impact on digital government initiatives
