Maintenance Coordinator- Johannesburg
Overview
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of the exterior and interior of the building by carrying out repairs and scheduled, emergency and ad-hoc work according to set standards and ensuring that all building services run efficiently to prevent inconvenience to daily operations.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Technical Matric advantageous
- Technical qualification advantageous
- Minimum 2-3 years working experience
- Practical exposure in basic tasks of repairs and building maintenance
- Valid code 8 driver’s license
- Knowledge of OHS Act & ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems advantageous
Responsibilities
- General maintenance functions such as general repair works, minor electrical repairs, painting, attending to leaks and blocked drains, hanging of pictures, performing general plumbing duties
- Ensure floors are in good condition and ablution facilities are working daily
- Carpentry duties such as repair and replacement of door locks
- Check and test emergency lighting and power supply regularly
- Replace all non-working light and ballasts to ensure proper lighting
- Complete work in accordance with safety guidelines and standards
- Inspect interior and exterior of building and parking areas daily
- Ensure adherence to Occupation Health and Safety standards
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans
- Maintain all relevant maintenance inventory and equipment
- Monthly checking of generators
- Other duties as assigned
